Francisco Neto

Francisco Neto graduated in Physiotherapy at the Escola Superior de Saúde do Vale do Sousa, in Portugal. He completed his Master's in Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton (United Kingdom) and the Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy at Curtin University of Technology (Australia).

He has been an international professor of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy since 2008. Most of his teaching activity is related to the Mulligan Concept, being part of the Mulligan Concept Teachers Association. He has taught more than 300 courses in different countries around the world:

Albania, Angola, Belgium, France, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Malta, Slovakia and Switzerland.

He has been a university professor since 2001. He has taught at different universities both in Portugal and in Spain: Escola Superior de Saúde do Vale do Sousa, Escola Superior de Saúde do Vale do Ave, Escola Superior de Saúde do Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde do Porto, Escola Superior de Saúde do Alcoitão, European University of Madrid and Fundación San Pablo Andalucía CEU.

Francisco works clinically exclusively with musculoskeletal patients at his private clinic in Portugal, using an evidence-informed practice. He is also Director and CEO of Formaterapia, a training school for health professionals based in Portugal.

He is former vice president of the Manual Therapy Interest Group of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists. Currently, he is a member of the General Council of the Portuguese Physiotherapy professional regulatory body (Ordem dos Fisioterapeutas).

Francisco has a number of publications in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for different scientific journals such as Clinical Rehabilitation, Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy and European Journal of Oral Sciences.
